Masseria Fontanelle is located near Ugento, between Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca, on the southern end of a splendid headland of the Salento hills, from where it is possible to admire the magic of the Ionian Sea and breathe in the sparkling air perfumed by salt and the variegated Mediterranean shrub. Deep inside a wonderful pine forest, which is part of the Litorale di Ugento Regional Nature Park, it is just a short distance from a heavenly beach of fine white sand in Marina di Ugento. The beach, extending for more than 12 km, is accompanied by large, protected dunes and has been renamed the Maldives of Salento for the shades of blue and turquoise of its crystal-clear waters.
