John is one of the most connected individuals in hospitality both within and beyond the UK. A career that has been devoted to his passion he is also an advisory board member for the Corporate Hospitality Show Leeds & Birmingham.

Starting his career in hospitality training as a Chef, working weekends and evenings within many of The Independent and Trusthouse Forte Hotels in Stratford Upon Avon where he studied Hospitality Management. Moving then to South Devon University to complete his studies he continued to combine this with practical experience at Harry Murray’s Imperial Hotel and concluding with a Season with outside catering company Payne & Gunter.

John has literally worked within each hotel discipline allowing him a unique insight and knowledge when talking to clients, guests and hoteliers. Eventually gravitating through Trusthouse Forte’s Management Training scheme via Bath, Suffolk and Southampton before joining Crest Hotels in London. From here John worked in Management, Front Office, Reservation and Sales & Marketing at Conrad Hilton, Four Seasons and Regent Hotels before returning to operations as General Manager at The Hempel Hotel John’s extensive experience in key sectors such as Leisure, Corporate, Entertainment and MICE markets has been pivotal in guiding the team collaboratively with clients to achieve both targets and goals.

Like the world around us the hospitality business must change and adapt, new technology and innovation, AI and Digital etc are all there to support not replace. Approaching current and future projects with an open mind with the ability to learn and grow is crucial when executing the solution.
